Innovation & Digital Transformation for Social Justice.

Janman builds its own tools. The Legal Aid platform runs Jan Nyay Abhiyan's casework across Bihar — intake, SOS escalation, hearing reminders, and a dashboard for every role. The Survey platform captures household baselines for the Purnea Urban Initiative. Both are built in-house, for the field, by a small team of technologists who sit with the people who use them.

Two tools, live in the field.

Janman Legal Aid

Case management for Jan Nyay Abhiyan

A free, confidential legal-aid platform for Bihar's most vulnerable communities. Anyone can file a case enquiry; a trained social worker in their district reviews it and follows up, usually within 48 hours. Advocates, paralegals and admins each get a live dashboard built for their role.

  • Case intake & FIR support
  • SOS alerts with escalation
  • Hearing reminders via calendar
  • Role-specific live dashboards
  • Jan Sahayak — schemes, rights & district support
  • Events Planner for awareness campaigns

Janman Survey

Purnea Urban Initiative — household baseline

A field data-collection tool for the Purnea Urban Initiative. Authorised enumerators sign in and record household baseline data, giving programme leads a structured picture of who lives where, what they need, and where health, legal and livelihood interventions should go next.

  • Built for field staff on the move
  • Structured household baseline dataset
  • Sign-in protected, authorised access only
  • Feeds programme planning & reporting

Technology that answers to the community.

Built for the field

Designed with the district fellows and social workers who use it every day — simple flows, light on bandwidth, Hindi wherever it matters.

Privacy by default

Survivor and client data is confidential. Role-based access means advocates, paralegals and admins each see only what their work requires.

Evidence over anecdote

Every case, hearing and household record becomes structured data — so we can show courts, funders and communities what actually changed.

Open to partners

Built in-house, shaped for reuse. Grassroots organisations working on access to justice can adapt what we have made.
